This weekend in laliga was full of upsets and a big blow to the big boys, FC Barcelona travelled to the cuitat to take on levante and lost 3-1. Barça grabbed the league through talisman Leo Messi but levante equalised and went on to win the game with a beautiful third from ex Real Madrid forward Borja Mayoral. Atletico Madrid took on sevilla in the weekend’s big match and they spoils were shared one apiece, the draw does Atletico no good as they are off the pace as far as their two laliga rivals this season.
It’s been an exciting weekend in the premier league, more so for the big boys aka the top six teams. Southampton grabbed the lead at the Etihad, thanks to a rebound finish from James wardprowse, coincedentially, Villa grabbed the lead to against the table toppers, thanks to Egyptian forward Trezeguet. Jurgen Klopp rallied his troops like he always does and in the dying minuted of the game, Liverpool equalised as Left back throttle Andrew Robertson headed in Sadio Mane’s delightful cross at the back post. Mane later showed his talismanship with the winner in added time, heading in via a corner delivered by Trent Alexander Anorld. Similarly the citizens left it late to, Sergio Aguero equalised for city before Kyle walker saved Pep Guardiola’s blushes with a late winner, onto next weekend when the the top two in the premier league meet, expect nothing more than fireworks at anfield. Arsenal and Unai Emery welcomed the wolves to the emirates with the gunners looking to go one better than the previous draw against palace, the previous weekend. In the weekend’s final game, a fair dull game between spurs and everton at Goodison park, one a piece the final result though the game was soiled and saddened by Son heung Min’s horrible tackle on Andre gomes. Son was sent off after VAR intervened and our best regards to Andre Homes, may he get better and get back on the pitch. Spurs took the lead through Dele Ali who celebrated adequately with a nap, before their lead was cancelled out by substitute cenk Tosun in added time, this result piles on more pressure onto Mauricio Pochettino as Spurs can’t find a win in the premier league and moment, Lots of fun and drama this weekend, see you next time.
